The Procedure and Patient Considerations:

Before the FFA procedure, patients are informed about the process and potential side effects. A small amount of fluorescein dye is injected into a vein, usually in the arm, and then travels through the bloodstream to reach the eye. As the dye circulates through the retinal blood vessels, the camera captures a series of images over a few minutes.
