What is YAG Laser Capsulotomy

YAG Laser Capsulotomy is a type of laser surgery used to treat the vision problems caused by a clouding of the eye’s lens. The procedure involves using a focused beam of light from a YAG laser to make small openings in the cloudy capsule of the lens.

This allows light to pass through that had been blocked before, improving vision. It is a safe, quick and effective procedure that can be done in the office.

The laser is focused on the capsule, creating tiny openings that allow the fluid to pass through, which helps to clear the cloudy lens. After the treatment, the patient can usually see an improvement in their vision within a few days.

The risk of complications from YAG Laser Capsulotomy is low, but possible side effects may include increased sensitivity to light, temporary blurred vision, and double vision.YAG Laser Capsulotomy is typically recommended for those with cloudy or discolored lenses, cataracts and other vision impairments.

Absolutely love how understanding Dr. Kumud Raut is. The only place where I have not been told about only the process of getting a surgery, but rather they insist on educating about how the eye functions and the importance of having a healthy eye before any surgery.
