* It is a simple law of physics. The smaller the lens, the lighter and thinner it is. Choosing a small lens size frame is the biggest determinant of lens thickness and weight. Smaller frames also decrease the amount of lens distortions / aberrations.
* Most people who choose Eyeglass Frames are concerned with price and style. But there are other factors to consider, such as how lightweight, strong, flexible and corrosion-resistant the frames are.

What Reduces The Overall Thickness And Weight Of The Lens?
* Thinner edges require less lens material, which reduces the overall weight of the lenses. Any lens material with a refractive index that's higher than that of glass or plastic is considered to be High-Index.
