What is Oculoplastic Surgery

Oculoplastic Surgery is a subspecialty of ophthalmology that focuses on the eyelids, the tear ducts, and the face around the eyes.It is a combination of ocular surgery and plastic surgery, with the goal of safely improving the appearance and health of the eyes, eyelids, and surrounding structures.

Common procedures include eyelid lifts, eyelid reconstructions, and tear duct repairs.Oculoplastic Surgery can also treat medical conditions such as droopy eyelids, thyroid eye disease, and eyelid tumors.

Oculoplastic Surgery is minimally invasive and usually performed on an outpatient basis. The recovery time for Oculoplastic Surgery is typically short and patients can return to their normal activities soon after the procedure.

Absolutely love how understanding Dr. Kumud Raut is. The only place where I have not been told about only the process of getting a surgery, but rather they insist on educating about how the eye functions and the importance of having a healthy eye before any surgery.
