What is Eyelid twitching

Eyelid twitching, also known as myokymia, is an involuntary movement of the eyelid muscles. It usually causes the upper or lower eyelid to twitch or flutter quickly and uncontrollably.Eyelid twitching is usually caused by stress, fatigue, caffeine, or an irritated eye. In some cases, it can be a sign of an underlying neurological disorder. It is important to get eyelid twitching treated to rule out any underlying medical condition that may be causing it. In addition, it is important to rule out any potential eye irritation that may be causing the twitching.Treatment for eyelid twitching typically includes lifestyle changes such as reducing stress, getting more rest, and reducing caffeine intake. In addition, eye drops may be prescribed to reduce any irritation in the eye.If the twitching continues or worsens, it is important to see an eye doctor for further evaluation. In some cases, further testing may be needed to rule out any underlying medical condition that may be causing the twitching.

Absolutely love how understanding Dr. Kumud Raut is. The only place where I have not been told about only the process of getting a surgery, but rather they insist on educating about how the eye functions and the importance of having a healthy eye before any surgery.
