What is Sensitivity to light

Sensitivity to light, also known as photophobia, is a condition in which your eyes become uncomfortable when exposed to bright light or sunlight. It can cause burning, stinging, or itching in the eyes, as well as a feeling of tightness around the eyes, blurred vision, redness, or excessive tearing. It is important to get sensitivity to light treated because untreated, it can cause a number of other eye problems, such as dry eyes, infections, and even vision loss.Treatment for sensitivity to light may include sunglasses, tinted lenses, or special contact lenses that block out the ultraviolet (UV) light. It may also include medications, such as anti-inflammatories, to reduce the inflammation and irritation caused by the condition. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to correct the underlying cause of the sensitivity to light.

Absolutely love how understanding Dr. Kumud Raut is. The only place where I have not been told about only the process of getting a surgery, but rather they insist on educating about how the eye functions and the importance of having a healthy eye before any surgery.
