Answer to can I store my lenses in water
No !! You should never wash or store your lenses in water. Water is hypotension. It can change the shape of your lenses and make them unsuitable for wearing. Water contains many micro organises. These can stick to your lenses and cause infections in the eye. A particular type of infection is acanthoemoeba keratitis. This is caused by an organism that is present in different sources of water and can lead to vision threatening infection in the eye. Water does not disinfect the lenses.
