The number of children, especially if myopic (minus number) tend to increase with age along with their height. This is a normal phenomenon and unfortunately cannot be stopped completely until after puberty in majority cases. There are somethings that can be done to control this increase in number to some extent.

1. Make sure your child spends as much time as they can spare doing some outdoor activities especially during day time.
2. Your child should avoid using a phone, laptop or any other digital device and should only use them when it's absolutely required.
3. There are commercially available spectacle lenses that as per studies show and give us upto 60% control over the increase in number.
4. Some eye drops proscribed by your doctor offer some control over increasing number in some cases.
All of the above options either individually or in combination can help you control the increasing number to some extent but should be advised after a checkup by your doctor.
Absolutely love how understanding Dr. Kumud Raut is. The only place where I have not been told about only the process of getting a surgery, but rather they insist on educating about how the eye functions and the importance of having a healthy eye before any surgery.

My cataract surgery is done by Dr Rajeev Raut. I am very satisfied with my surgery. Dr. Bhargav is an excellent doctor and is very calm and polite. I was also operated for my retina by Dr. Nilesh. He too is a great doctor. I am Very satisfied. And all the staff here is very cooperative and accommodating. Thanks
